Hello all,
My name is Erin Thomsen, I am currently in my final semester of the Natural Resource Science Program at Thompson Rivers University. This site is an ePortfolio for the Leadership in Environmental Sustainability Certificate but it is also to share about myself and how much I have grown through my school career and my plans for a sustainable future.
I am a proud resident of British Columbia and I spent much of my childhood playing and exploring the outdoors. My parents raised me to have an appreciation for living things, from the biggest mammals, to the smallest fungi. I am an amateur photographer and I love to show my appreciation by capturing the often overlooked aspects of our world. All the photos found on my site will be one of my own (except those of myself of course which are provided by friends and family), I hope you will enjoy them as much as I do and I hope they give you a new perspective through which to see our world.
Along with photography I also enjoy many outdoor activities including fishing, hiking, kayaking and cross-country skiing. If I can get outside and explore the world, I will. Our planet has so many wonderful things to offer. While I love the outdoors, I am also an avid reader and I love ancient history, the older the better.
